Preparations started for political cabinet

Prime MinisterWILLEMSTAD – During the weekly press conference, Prime Minister of Curacao, Daniel Hodge announced that the coalition partners have started their preparations to form a political cabinet as agreed in the Government agreement.

According to Hodge, it was agreed that the Transitional Government will only stay for six months. This  Transitional Government is composed of non political experts who were appointed by the coalition partners Pueblo Soberano (PS), PAIS, PNP and the independent member of Parliament (former PAR member) Glenn Sulvaran.

Hodge also stated that everything will continue as agreed and that there is no problem or friction between the Government and the coalition partners. “We came here to do our job and I feel that we are accomplishing it. We’ve been appointed for six months and the time is at hand for us to go back to our respective jobs,” according to Prime Minister Hodge.

The coalition partners will appoint former Informateur and Formateur Glenn Camelia to form a new Government for Curacao. This Government should be installed in June of this year.
