Prime Minister meets with Ambassador Lucita Moeniralam

WILLEMSTAD – On January 9, 2013, Prime Minister Daniel Hodge met with Ambassador Mrs. Lucita Moeniralam at his office in Fort Amsterdam.

Mrs. Moeniralam, currently stationed in Trinidad and Tobago as the Ambassador for the Kingdom of the Netherlands, had a professional conversation with Prime Minister Hodge. For the Premier the conversation was very positive.

It is already known that for years both countries have commercial, cultural and historic ties. Through the years many companies from Trinidad and Tobago established here in Curacao.

Economy, education, alternative energy are among issues that both officials discussed during the visit. Premier Hodge thanked Mrs. Moeniralam for her intervention which procured that Curacao had two observers from Trinidad and Tobago during recent election. Premier Hodge has also emphasize on the importance for Curacao to establish relations with countries in the region through the embassy.

To conclude, it was decided that both officials will continue with their efforts for Curacao to have a representative at the Dutch Embassy in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago.
