Prime Ministers to attend summit Association of Caribbean States
WILLEMSTAD – The Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte will participate at the summit of leaders of the Association of Caribbean countries on June 4th this year. This summit will take place in Cuba. Bonaire, Saba and St. Eustatius will be represented by the Netherlands.
The Prime Minister of Aruba Mike Eman, Curaçao Ben Whiteman and William Marlin of Sint Maarten will also be present at the summit. 32 countries will participate at this summit
The aim of the summit is a joint approach to tourism, transport, natural disasters and environmental protection, with a special focus on climate change in the Caribbean.
The program of the Prime Minister will start on June 3 with a welcome dinner for all participating government at the invitation of the Cuban President Raul Castro. On June 4, Prime Minister Mark Rutte will speak at the plenary session of the summit.
