Royal Honor 2015
WILLEMSTAD - Fifteen people in Curaçao have today received a royal honor. Two persons have been awarded the title Knight of the Order of Orange-Nassau, namely cultural anthropologist Rose Mary Allen and Geomaly Martes, director of public accountant bureau SOAB.
In addition, thirteen individuals became Member of the Order of Orange-Nassau.
The honors were presented this morning by Governor Lucille George-Wout in the Governor's Palace. Members of the Order of Orange-Nassau starting today are Nico Cornelisse (former politician and restaurateur), George Benjamin Curiel (nutritionist), Frank Elenburg (former civil servant and financial expert), Professor R.A. Janknegt, Frensel Lacruz (scouting), Eric Lourens, Nazario Martijn (swimming coach), Arthur New (lawyer), G.D. Rodriguez (Plataforma Bándabou), S.J. Rooi, Maria 'Ria' Severing-Halman (author of teaching materials in Papiamento), E.A. Sintiago and I.V Valks Francisco.
