Short visit from Minister Plasterk to Curacao and Bonaire

Minister PlasterkWILLEMSTAD – Minister of Kingdom Relations, Ronald Plasterk will be in Bonaire on Tuesday, October 1 of this year to talk with the Lieutenant – Governor, Lydia Emerenciana, the Executive Council and the Island Council. Topics which will be discussed are plans to develop the island and to evaluate plans for five years after the constitutional change of October 10, 2010. Minister Plasterk will also speak with the Youth Council of the island.

During this meeting, Minister Plasterk will discuss some ideas about youth problems in Bonaire and possible solutions. At the end of that day, the Minister will return to the Netherlands.

On Monday September 30, Minister Plasterk will meet with the Governor of Curacao, Mrs. Adele van der Pluijm-Vrede and with the Government. During the meeting with the Government, Minister Plasterk will talk about the public finances, action plans relating to the police, prison, oil refinery and policies on spending.

Minister Plasterk will also meet with SONA and AMFO about the closing of programs and the use of left over funds.
