Stanley Palm, new Minister of Economic Development

Stanley PalmWILLEMSTAD – Stanley Palm will be appointed as the new Minister of Economic Development. The political party PAIS will formalize this decision during the course of this day. Palm will replace Steven Martina who will not return in the political cabinet which is currently being formed by Mr. Glenn Camelia. PAIS has asked for the screening of 6 candidate ministers, one of them is Palm.

PAIS has asked the outgoing Minister, Steven Martina, to continue attending the development of the maritime sector of Curacao in which there will be a 70 million dollar investment. He was also asked to continue with the development of the East Point area of the island which is pending for some years now.

As was announced before, Minister of Justice, Mr. Nelson Navarro, will continue in the political cabinet together with Minister of Government Policy, Planning and Public Service, Mr. Etienne van der Horst.

It is not known yet when the political cabinet will take seat in Fort Amsterdam. Formateur Glenn Camelia recently announced that Curacao will have a new government on May 23 but that did not happen. There is no new date yet.
