The Government wants 300 million guilders in loan for new hospital

New HospitalWILLEMSTAD - Curaçao has submitted a request to borrow 300 million guilders for the construction of the new hospital in Otrobanda. The request is made ​​to the Committee for Financial Supervision (CFT). A business case was made ​​on the new hospital. This was announced at a press conference held by the CFT this afternoon.

"The committee appreciates that there is now more clarity on this project, which should mean not only an improvements in health care on the island, but also a significant investment that will have a positive impact on the economy," said the CFT.

The College expects to receive the business case this Friday and to study it to see if the measures, which the government wants to take, are feasible. If the CFT approves the business case, then the request for the loan can be granted.
