Three parties must participate in the primaries

WILLEMSTAD – The political Parties PAN, Pais and the combined list of DP / Laboral must participate in the primaries which will be held during the weekend of September 8 and 9.

These parties currently have no seat in Parliament and through these primaries must demonstrate that they have sufficient support to take part of the upcoming elections on 19 October. In total, each party should get 743 votes to be able to participate.

DP is one of the oldest parties on the island, it has produces many well known politicians but since the late 90’s and in the last decade it has failed to produce representatives in both the Central Government and the Island Government. The party leader has been conducting a fierce opposition against the Government and he has caught the attention of many, making the party hopeful for the upcoming elections.
