WILLEMSTAD – The Curaçao Color Walk is set to return on Sunday, April 6, promising a vibrant and energetic spectacle. With 8,000 participants expected, the seven-kilometer event is dedicated to connection, positivity, and movement. This year’s theme, #ColorYourLife by Coloring Others, highlights inclusion and togetherness.
A Colorful Journey Through Curaçao
The walk will start and finish at Playa Parasasa, kicking off at 6:30 AM with an energetic warm-up session by Kolorido Gymnastics and DJ Lucy. Participants will follow the Koredor route through the Piscadera area, passing several color stations where sponsors will create a rainbow explosion of colors. The event will conclude with an exciting BIG Splash finale at the finish line.
Supporting Local Communities
Beyond its sporting and festive aspects, the Curaçao Color Walk plays a crucial role in supporting local community initiatives. Proceeds and awareness will benefit organizations such as the SGR-Groep, which promotes inclusion and community development, and the EYoung Talent Fund, which supports young talents in sports, music, arts, and dance.
The color powder used in the event is natural and biodegradable, ensuring an eco-friendly experience. However, those sensitive to dust or with asthma are advised to wear a mask or scarf for extra protection.
