Miss Universe Netherlands Dutch Caribbean 2025 Announces Its First Winner

VEENENDAAL – On Sunday, April 6, the first edition of Miss Universe Netherlands Dutch Caribbean took place at Theater Lampegiet in Veenendaal. 

This pageant is a new initiative by Miss Universe Netherlands, created especially for women from the Dutch Caribbean islands living in the Netherlands. Through this competition, participants are able to represent both the Netherlands and their island of origin. 

A total of eight contestants delivered outstanding performances during the event, leaving the large audience thoroughly impressed. In a vibrant show filled with Caribbean flair, the eight candidates shined brightly throughout the evening. 

The top title went to Shashinduska Nazir, who will now compete in the Miss Universe Netherlands pageant on July 5. The winner of that event will go on to represent the Netherlands at the international Miss Universe 2025 competition in Thailand. 

The first runner-up was Nadien Philips, second runner-up went to Nadine van der Graaf, and third runner-up was Chanice Janssens. 

Several special awards were also presented during the evening: 

Best in Catwalk: Daniella Berry 

Miss Photogenic: Sharlena Clarinda 

Best in Interview: Shashinduska Nazir 

Nadine van der Graaf also earned three additional titles: 

Miss Media 

Miss Congeniality 

Miss Ela’s Choice (Ela’s Choice was the main sponsor of the event).
