WILLEMSTAD – Hundreds of Curaçao residents—young and old—gathered on Sunday in Nieuwe Haven for a vibrant new edition of Kòrsou ta Move, a community health and fitness event that promotes an active lifestyle across the island.
The event offered a dynamic afternoon filled with walking, cycling, group fitness sessions, and various wellness activities. From passionate runners to leisurely cyclists, participants moved together in celebration of a healthier Curaçao. Attendees also enjoyed healthy snacks and refreshments throughout the event.
Inclusive for All
Thanks to a partnership with Fundashon Alton Paas, the event was accessible to people in wheelchairs, making sure that everyone—regardless of ability—had the chance to get active. The atmosphere was marked by strong family participation and a positive community spirit that lasted through the day.
The event once again proudly embraced the message:
“Un pais ku ta move, ta un pais salú”
(A country that moves is a healthy country.)
Next Up: The Splash Edition
Kòrsou ta Move returns on Sunday, July 27 with a special Splash Edition, promising a fun-filled afternoon of water activities, including bouncers for kids, water games, refreshing ice treats, and cool-down zones. The program also features live music and dance performances.
The event will take place once again at Nieuwe Haven, near the Economic Center, starting at 4:00 PM. Participation is free of charge, and the entire island is invited to join.
Organizers encourage attendees to wear sportswear and to bring an extra shirt, especially for the water activities.
