WILLEMSTAD – More than 100 employees of the Analytisch Diagnostisch Centrum (ADC) have sent a letter to Minister of Health, Environment and Nature Javier Silvania, expressing deep dissatisfaction with working conditions and recent financial decisions at the government-owned medical laboratory.
The letter, signed by 107 staff members, criticizes the ADC management for allegedly ignoring what they describe as a “worrying situation” on the work floor. Employees also voiced anger over the cancellation of salary indexation, which they consider an erosion of their rights.
According to the letter, staff members have been “pressured to give up their rights” despite the laboratory’s financial troubles being well-known for some time. Workers claim they see funds being allocated to other priorities while their own conditions deteriorate.
The employees further allege a daily atmosphere of fear, intimidation, and authoritarian leadership within the institution, urging the minister to intervene.
As of now, there has been no public response from either Minister Silvania or the ADC management regarding the allegations.
