Black smoke is not a measure indicating start-up Isla

WILLEMSTAD - Is the Isla refinery operational or not? The interim director of the Refineria di Korsou, Curaçao Refinery, Marcelino de Lannoy says in an interview that the lack of black some is not a criterion for answering that question.

The management of the refinery says that the start-up is on schedule. The refinery could also fulfill all its delivery obligations. There would be enough crude oil to refine.

According to other sources, the RdK Director is not telling the truth. There is no crude oil at all at the refinery and the little bit that is there, the Tia Juana Pesada (crude from the Tia Juana area in Venezuela), that was received, was the reason why the refinery was operating these days. But most probably by the end of this week, or the beginning of next week, they will stop operations again.
