WILLEMSTAD – Olympic sprinter Churandy Martina will appear in the upcoming season of the popular Dutch survival show Expeditie Robinson. The Curaçao-born athlete will compete alongside other well-known Dutch personalities in the reality series, which challenges participants to survive on an uninhabited island. 

This 25th anniversary edition will feature 20 celebrity contestants facing a mix of intense physical challenges, strategic assignments, and a social game in which participants can vote each other off the island. 

The new season premieres on August 31 on RTL 4, with contestants battling the elements, hunger, and one another over a period of 34 days. 

According to RTL, the milestone season will focus heavily on strategy and the courage to take a stand, promising an even more competitive and unpredictable contest.
