WILLEMSTAD - The Council of Ministers has approved two important decisions concerning national affairs during its meeting on Wednesday focusing on education infrastructure and regional cooperation in law enforcement training.
New Printers for Public Schools
The first decision involves a budget amendment from the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports (OWCS) to facilitate the purchase of new printers for schools under the Dienst Openbare Scholen (DOS). The measure aims to improve administrative efficiency and enhance teaching support within the public education system.
Cooperation Between Curaçao and Aruba on Police Training
The second decision concerns a cooperation agreement between the Aruba Police Force (KPA), the Division of Police Training and Development, and Curaçao’s Training Institute for Law Enforcement and Security (ORV).
This new partnership is designed to strengthen police education and professional development within the Kingdom of the Netherlands, promoting the exchange of expertise and resources between both islands.
The Council emphasized that both initiatives represent important steps toward improving public services — ensuring better tools for education and closer cooperation in the field of security and law enforcement.
