WILLEMSTAD - Cuco Martina has earned a place in the CONCACAF team of the year. The Curaçao defender is currently playing for Stoke City. The 29-year-old Martina, who plays for Everton, is captain of the Curaçao team with 38 international matches.

Martina owes his election among others to the assessment of national coaches and captains of the national teams in North and Central America and the Caribbean islands.
