Curaçao Parliament Closes 2024-2025 Legislative Year with 33 Public Sessions and 13 Bills

 

WILLEMSTAD – The Parliament of Curaçao has officially closed the 2024-2025 legislative year and released an overview of its activities.

In total, 33 public sessions were held along with 29 Central Committee meetings. Members of Parliament also engaged in seven question hours, during which they could directly question ministers.

Over the past year, 32 motions were tabled. Nineteen were adopted, while thirteen were rejected. Lawmakers also considered 13 draft laws, six introduced by the government and seven submitted by members of Parliament themselves.

According to Parliament, these figures provide insight into the legislative and oversight work carried out during the year and serve as a foundation for the new parliamentary year, which officially begins on Tuesday.
