WILLEMSTAD - Curaçaoan tennis star Jean-Julien Rojer has captured his second title of the 2025 season, winning the Shenzhen Open in China on Saturday alongside his doubles partner Nathaniel Lammons. The pair triumphed after a thrilling comeback performance in the final.
Rojer and Lammons faced the duo Finn Reynolds and James Watt in the championship match. Reynolds and Watt took the opening set 7-6 (7-5), but Rojer and Lammons responded strongly, leveling the contest by taking the second set 7-5.
Decisive Super Tiebreak
The match came down to a decisive super tiebreak, where the experienced Rojer and his American partner displayed their composure and teamwork to dominate 10-4, sealing the victory and the title.
This win marks Rojer’s second tournament victory of 2025, following his triumph at the Cancún Open in August. It is also his first title together with Nathaniel Lammons, signaling a promising partnership for future tournaments.
