Divi Divi Air Confirms Precautionary Engine Shutdown During Flight

WILLEMSTAD, KRALENDIJK - Over the weekend Divi Divi Air confirms a precautionary engine shutdown during cruise.

The crew identified an indication that required attention and, following established safety protocols, and procedures elected to shut down one engine as a precautionary measure. As per procedure the aircraft returned to closest airport and landed safely and uneventfully at the Bonaire International Airport.

All passengers and crew disembarked safely, and no injuries were reported. All passengers have been accommodated on consecutive flights and reached their destination the same day.

The aircraft is now undergoing a thorough inspection by our maintenance to determine the cause of the indication.

Safety is and remains our top priority. Our crews are extensively trained to manage these situations.

Divi Divi Air apologizes for any inconvenience this may have caused and thanks our passengers for their understanding and cooperation.
