Divi Divi Air Launches New Twin Otter Aircraft in Flamingo Livery

WILLEMSTAD – Regional carrier Divi Divi Air operated its newest Twin Otter aircraft for the first time last Saturday. The inaugural flight connected the airline’s home base Curaçao with Bonaire, followed by a direct service to Aruba. The new aircraft, registered PJ-DVH, stands out with a striking flamingo-themed livery.

The plane, nicknamed “Flamingo” within the company, has been stationed in Curaçao since June 2025. Before entering service, the PJ-DVH underwent modernization and was outfitted with a state-of-the-art “glass cockpit” of the Garmin G950 (G1000) type.

Divi Divi Air has been flying Twin Otters since 2017, with the fleet fully owned by the airline. Its three other Twin Otters—PJ-DVD, PJ-DVE, and PJ-DVF—are also scheduled for modernization in the coming years.

Fleet Expansion

In addition to the Twin Otters, Divi Divi Air has long operated Britten-Norman Islander BN2A/B-26 aircraft, with three currently in its fleet: PJ-SKY, PJ-SEA, and PJ-AIR.

The airline’s growth is reflected not only in its expanding route network but also in its steadily modernizing fleet. Founded more than twenty years ago with only the small nine-passenger Britten-Norman Islanders, Divi Divi Air now operates multiple De Havilland Canada Twin Otters, which can carry nearly twice as many passengers.

The fleet was officially expanded this June with the addition of the new Twin Otter PJ-DVH, which entered service yesterday.
