DMO Appoints Operations Manager to Lead Revitalization of Punda

 

WILLEMSTAD - The Downtown Management Organization (DMO) has announced the appointment of RachellLac as Operations Manager, effective September 1. In this roleLac will oversee daily activities, ensuring quality operations. She will also work closely with groups iPunda to implement the “World oPunda” vision plan, revitalizing the district into a vibrant area for residents, entrepreneurs, and visitors alike.

A “Rubianan who fell in love with Curaçao,” Laclé has a deep admiration for the island’s history, culture, and nature. She brings more than 20 years of professional experience supporting executive leadership and operations for global brands such as Marriott International and Sotheby’s International Realty. Recognized as Executive of the Year at Aruba Marriott, she later played a key role in the pre-renovation phase of the Curaçao Marriott and the establishment of Curaçao Sotheby’s International Realty. Laclé has proven expertise in driving growth and strategy. Her multidisciplinary background in operations, project management, and marketing—combined with her passion for Curaçao—positions her to contribute fresh perspectives and leadership to Punda’s revitalization.

DMO president Michelle Metsch welcomed the appointment: “We are pleased to welcome Rachelle to the DMO team.
