THE HAGUE – The Dutch Central Government Real Estate Agency (Rijksvastgoedbedrijf) has announced that it is resuming the sale of surplus defense housing on Curaçao. The move follows earlier decisions by the Ministry of Defence in 2015 to dispose of more than 100 homes on Aruba and Curaçao, and again in 2024 to sell the remaining 60 properties.
The process now begins with the auction of nine homes located in the Kwartje district. The properties include houses on Kaya Garoeda 6, 9, 10, 11, and 18, as well as Kaya Gefion 3, 5, 6, and 8. Each home features three or four bedrooms and sits on a spacious lot.
As in previous years, the sales will be conducted through a voluntary public auction before notary Mrs. mr. Fung-A-Loi, or her deputy, on Curaçao.
Viewings and Auction Dates
Interested buyers will have the opportunity to view the homes on Thursday, October 16 and Tuesday, October 21, 2025. The public auctions will take place on Friday, November 21 and Friday, November 28, 2025 at the offices of notaries Fung-A-Loi & Samandar.
