Flow Clarifies Internet Plan Changes Amid Customer Complaints

WILLEMSTAD – Telecom provider Flow has issued a statement addressing public concerns following a wave of complaints on social media about higher internet costs. According to the company, the changes are not new price hikes but part of a gradual phase-out of outdated packages that no longer reflect modern internet usage.

Flow explained that customers with older subscriptions are being automatically upgraded to faster plans designed to meet today’s basic digital needs. In many cases, this means higher internet speeds, which the company says provide better value for money.

The provider stressed that the new rates are in line with existing speed profiles already available on the Curaçao market. “This is not a price increase per MB, but a modernization that responds to the growing demand for faster and more reliable internet,” Flow said in its statement.

Flow also noted that all affected customers were informed through letters, emails, and text messages. The company added that it will continue to invest in strengthening its network, highlighting its essential role in supporting work, education, healthcare, and daily life on the island.
