Government Installs New Trash Bins in Punda to Promote Cleaner City Center

WILLEMSTAD – The government placed the first new trash bins in Punda on Thursday, September 19, as part of an initiative to improve cleanliness and presentation in the historic city center.

The bins have been installed at strategic high-traffic locations to encourage residents and visitors to properly dispose of their waste. Officials noted that the effort not only contributes to a cleaner downtown but also enhances the overall image of Curaçao’s cultural heritage sites.

A broader plan for the installation of additional trash bins across the city center will be announced soon. The initiative aims to make Punda both cleaner and more enjoyable for locals and tourists alike.
