WILLEMSTAD - Patient safety is like a neglected child on Curacao. Too little attention is paid to it, which is why LabdeMed organizes a seminar on patient safety in the context of its 40th anniversary.

According to director Rudy Le Blanc of LabdeMed, more awareness needs to be created for this important and sensitive theme and there are no guidelines and protocols in the event of a medical failure.

A basis must be laid for further development and implementation of patient safety policy. This has already been discussed with the Inspector General of the Healthcare Inspectorate.
