WILLEMSTAD – Police arrested a 21-year-old driver in the early hours of Wednesday following a chase on Cabo Verdeweg. The man was found to have ammunition in his vehicle.

According to police, the driver sped off when officers attempted to stop his car. After a short pursuit, the vehicle was brought to a halt near Ser’i Papaya. During the inspection, officers discovered a quantity of ammunition, which was seized on the spot. The suspect was immediately taken into custody.

Later that day, the Organized Crime Division conducted a search of his home in Mahuma, where additional ammunition was found.

The man remains in detention pending further investigation.
