WILLEMSTAD - The Curaçao Police Force (KPC) reported that on Tuesday morning, officers arrested a 31-year-old man on suspicion of assault, threats, and kidnapping of his ex-partner.

According to police, the incident occurred after the woman attempted to end the relationship, which allegedly led the suspect to physically assault and threaten her before forcing her into a car against her will.

Police units later located the pair near the industrial area of Brievengat, where the suspect was apprehended without further incident.

The man is currently in custody pending further investigation, the police confirmed.
