WILLEMSTAD – The Curaçao Police Force (KPC) has reported the arrest of a man in connection with a case of domestic violence and assault during the night of Monday to Tuesday.

At 1:22 a.m., the police control room dispatched a unit to a residence on Kaya Bastimentos following an emergency call.

Upon arrival, officers conducted an investigation and determined that a verbal argument between a couple had escalated, leading the man to physically assault the woman.

The suspect, a 49-year-old man, was immediately taken into custody and presented before the assistant public prosecutor. He remains in detention pending further investigation.
