Police Issue 38 Fines During Traffic Check in Rio Canario

 

WILLEMSTAD – Police in Rio Canario handed out 38 fines on Tuesday during a traffic control operation carried out between 4:00 p.m. and 8:15 p.m. on Van Krimpenlaan and F.D. Rooseveltweg.

In total, officers stopped 65 vehicles. Most of the violations were related to drivers not carrying valid documents or failing to meet safety requirements.

Drivers were fined for offenses including driving without a seatbelt, a valid driver’s license, or valid insurance. Many were also cited for unpaid road taxes or for failing to present a valid inspection card.

Additional fines were issued for vehicles with excessively tinted windows.

Three vehicles were towed away during the operation. Police announced that similar traffic checks will continue in the coming period.
