Prime Minister Pisas Attends “Dekada 90’s” Tournament to Honor Footballers of the 1990s

 

WILLEMSTAD - Today at the Soto Arena, the Dekada 90’s Tournament took place — a sports event dedicated to the footballers who shone during the 1990s. The tournament brought together legendary clubs such as SUBT, Scherpenheuvel, Jong Colombia, SITHOC, Centro Dominguito, Victory Boys, Jong Holland, and Undeba.

Prime Minister Mr. Gilmar Pisas attended the event to express his appreciation and pay a well-deserved tribute to those who contributed to the development of local football during that memorable decade.

The footballers honored were:

SUBT – Elvis “Kuchi” Janga and Frensel Calmes 

Scherpenheuvel – Clovis “Coco” Ignacio and Humprey “Baartje” Koots 

Jong Colombia – Wilbert “Ibi” Martina, Juan Herenio, and Wanche Obispo 

SITHOC – Raymond “Monchi” Rovina and Giovani “Chep” Regales 

Centro Dominguito – Edmond “Chika” Fransiska and Ingemar “Inchi” Pieternella 

Victory Boys – Eithel Brunken and Ruby Brunken 

Jong Holland – Wilbert “Chiki” Martijn and Gilbert Severina 

Undeba – Arto Leito and Cherum Muzo

The event served not only to relive the glorious moments of the 1990s but also to bring together different generations within the football community — reminding everyone of the enduring values of dedication, passion, and camaraderie in sports.
