EINDHOVEN - PSV Eindhoven coach Peter Bosz has expressed interest in coaching the Curaçao national football team. He hinted at the possibility during a press conference on Friday ahead of PSV’s match against Go Ahead Eagles.
PSV defender Armando Obispo recently played two full matches for Curaçao in the World Cup qualifiers against Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago. Bosz said he followed both games closely. “I’m very happy for Armando,” the PSV coach remarked.
“It’s Really Our Country”
Bosz said he hopes Curaçao will successfully complete its qualification campaign next month, when the team faces Bermuda and Jamaica. “It’s my favorite country. But they have to come to me first,” Bosz said with a smile. “Of course, it’s not appropriate to talk about someone else’s job. Dick Advocaat is doing a great job as head coach there.”
The PSV coach has been vacationing on the island for years and spoke affectionately about his connection to Curaçao. “It’s really our country,” Bosz said.
