Recently arrested Venezuelans are likely to be returned

WILLEMSTAD - According to the Human Rights Caribbean Foundation, about 15 people have recently been arrested on Curaçao and as it looks like they are being sent back to Venezuela.

The foundation makes an appeal not to return these refugees to their country. Venezuela is currently experiencing a political and humanitarian crisis.

In those circumstances, returning cannot be justified, according to the Human Rights Caribbean Foundation. It also continues to be concerned about the fate of the applicants for political asylum in Curaçao, Aruba and on Bonaire, two of whom have been imprisoned since August.
