WILLEMSTAD – The Wintertuin Curaçao Adults Festival has unveiled the program for its seventh edition, which will take place on September 20 at Landhuis Vredenberg. This year’s festival will feature more than 30 artists from across the region and beyond, promising a vibrant mix of literature, word art, digital art, films, and live performances.
The theme for 2025 is “Brio”, meaning courage and brilliance. According to the organizers, the festival will unfold across three stages, each with its own unique atmosphere and host.
Mondi Stage, hosted by Timothy Martina, will focus on experimentation and innovation, with performances from Tierra Fértil, Ilse Schoobaar, Tyson Hill (presenting his debut poetry collection), Lasana M. Sekou, and DJ Rozaly.
Ambiente Stage, led by Germone de Lima, will spotlight dance and live music.
Veranda Stage, hosted by Nathania Engelhardt, will provide a more intimate setting for readings and conversations.
The program also includes the premieres of three Caribbean cinepoetry films, a digital art installation by Jeroen van der Most in collaboration with LengaGPT (the first large-scale language model in Papiamentu), and the audio installation Sombra di Pasado.
The evening will conclude with an energetic DJ set by Mitch Devtiq, ensuring the festival closes on a high note. “We offer different layers that speak to people in their own way,” Wintertuin Curaçao stated.
