WILLEMSTAD - The deficit for 2018 will be even greater than previously foreseen. That is what the Financial Supervision Board (Cft) expects. Almost 53 million guilders and not 40, as thought.
This is mainly due to disappointing tax revenues. But there is also too little coming in because government companies are going to pay too little dividend. Curaçao's debt is almost 45 percent of what we all earn. The Cft finds that 5 percent too high.
