WILLEMSTAD – In a special event held on May 15, 2025, focused on business communication, Acting Consul General Mr. Wang Fanfu praised the enduring partnership between Coca-Cola Curaçao and the island’s local Chinese community. Speaking at the gathering, Mr. Wang emphasized the company’s strong relationship with the Chinese Consulate General and its continued support for consular initiatives and community engagement. 

Coca-Cola Curaçao was commended for its active role in fostering business ties and for recently launching the Coca-Cola Caribbean Digital Training Program through the Coca-Cola Foundation. The free online initiative aims to provide local clients—including Chinese entrepreneurs—with valuable business training in areas such as financial management and marketing strategies, thereby strengthening professional skills and promoting mutual benefit. 

According to Mr. Wang, such initiatives reflect Coca-Cola’s commitment to giving back to its clients, expanding its brand presence while also offering meaningful support to small businesses. He described the effort as an example of equal cooperation and mutual growth, particularly important in today’s challenging international climate. 

Mr. Wang also acknowledged the significant role that the Chinese community in Curaçao continues to play in the island’s development. He noted that many Chinese families have been rooted in Curaçao for decades, contributing not only to economic growth but also to social and cultural diversity. Organizations like the Curaçao Chinese Union and the Curaçao Chinese Business Association were recognized for their work in helping Chinese residents integrate into local society, support the consulate, and act as bridges between China and the Dutch Caribbean. 

The event’s theme of business communication served as a platform to promote further collaboration and cultural understanding. Mr. Wang expressed the Consulate's ongoing commitment to supporting the Chinese community’s efforts to strengthen connections with local and international partners. 

He concluded by expressing confidence in the community’s ability to continue making positive contributions to Curaçao’s development and to the deepening of friendly ties between the peoples of China and Curaçao.
