MONTEVIDEO – For the first time, an official delegation from the Parliament of Curaçao is participating in the annual ParlAmericas conference, held from May 27 to 29, 2025, in Montevideo, Uruguay. Curaçao received a special invitation to attend as an honored guest, marking a significant step in strengthening the country’s presence in the international parliamentary dialogue.
The central theme of this 21st Plenary Assembly and the 9th Meeting of the Open Parliament Network is:
“Legislating for the Future: Anticipatory Governance in Parliamentary Action.”
Over the course of three days, delegations from more than 30 countries will discuss how legislation can proactively address major societal challenges such as technological disruption, climate change, political polarization, and demographic transitions.
