WILLEMSTAD – EM Group, along with its subsidiaries eMoore N.V. and EMS N.V., has issued a public statement denouncing a recent wave of false and misleading information being circulated about the company, its leadership, and staff. According to the company, these messages are part of an ongoing blackmail and cyber harassment campaign, apparently orchestrated by a disgruntled player linked to a brand operated by a former client.
In its statement, EM Group confirmed that it has made multiple attempts to provide the player with guidance and support, despite not being directly responsible for the operations of the brand in question. The company also reached out to its former client, urging them to assist the individual in resolving their concerns.
The player has reportedly continued to threaten the company with the publication of damaging content, much of which EM Group says is misleading, taken out of context, or entirely untrue. “The harmful nature of these actions lies in the fact that the information being distributed is not only false but also disturbingly defamatory,” the company noted.
EM Group emphasized that it is not—and has never been—appointed to any operational role within the former client’s business. As such, the company stressed it has no authority or capacity to directly resolve the player’s issue. “Nonetheless, this individual persists in attempting to pressure EM Group through unlawful means,” the statement said.
The firm clarified its role in the industry, noting that it provides managerial, administrative, and compliance services on a fee-based model. EM Group does not issue gaming licenses, operate gaming platforms, or participate in the operational activities of any of its clients.
The company further stated that the operator involved has informed EM Group they are actively engaging with the player in an effort to resolve the dispute.
Finally, EM Group confirmed that it is in close contact with authorities and is providing all relevant information to support a formal investigation. The company’s message is directed at those who may have received or been influenced by the misleading materials distributed by the player.
“This type of malicious conduct threatens not only our reputation but also the integrity of our professional relationships,” EM Group said. “We are taking the matter seriously and are cooperating fully with law enforcement.”
