Governor of Curaçao Concludes Final Working Visit to the Netherlands

 

THE HAGUE – From September 9 to 21, 2025, the Governor of Curaçao, Her Excellency Lucille George-Wout, together with her delegation, paid her final working visit to the Netherlands.

The Governor, alongside her counterparts from Aruba, Governor Boekhoudt, and from Sint Maarten, Governor Baly, attended the King’s Speech on the occasion of Prinsjesdag 2025.

The program also included the biannual Governors’ Consultation with the State Secretary of the Interior and Kingdom Relations. This was the first such consultation with State Secretary Eddie van Marum. During the visit, the Governor also met the new interim Director General of Kingdom Relations, Mrs. Gea van Craaikamp.

In addition, the Vice President of the Council of State, Mr. Thom de Graaf, invited the Governor to a farewell dinner. To conclude her visit, the Governor attended the Koninkrijkstafel at Sociëteit De Witte.

Finally, on the occasion of the conclusion of her term as Governor of Curaçao, she was received in audience by His Majesty King Willem-Alexander.
