Increased interest in continuing education in the region

WILLEMSTAD - The Netherlands again is the most popular destination for local students to continue their education. This year, about 264 students have registered for a school in the Netherlands. But there is an increase in the interest in students to choose for an advanced school in the region. A little more than half of that number, 150, have applied for a school in the region.

Student Finance Foundation Curaçao (SSC) started the process of providing information to prospective students last Saturday.

Of the 150 students who continue their education in the region, 59 percent have applied for a school in the U.S., 20 percent in Canada, 11 percent in Costa Rica and 10 percent in another country’

During two different sessions, the students have received basic information to prepare themselves for student life abroad and what it involves.

Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport, Marilyn Alcalá-Wallé, was also present and supported the young people and provided them with various valuable tips.
