WILLEMSTAD - The leadership of the Movementu Futuro Korsou (MFK) has issued a brief statement acknowledging the recent incident between one of its ministers and the Head of the Receiver’s Office, which has sparked significant public attention in recent days.

According to the party’s statement, the MFK board has “taken note of the incident” and is handling the matter with seriousness and discretion. The leadership emphasized that since 2020, the party has adopted a stricter internal management style centered on transparency, discipline, and respect — values that it says have guided its operations and contributed to its electoral success in 2021 and 2025.

“The MFK leadership stands for fair and equal treatment,” the statement read. “For that reason, the board is addressing the mentioned incident in a serious manner and with the necessary discretion.”

The party did not provide further details about the nature of the confrontation but confirmed that a formal position will be taken and communicated later this week to both MFK members and the people of Curaçao.

“For now, no additional statements will be given to the press,” the statement concluded.
