WILLEMSTAD - The Curaçao Chamber of Commerce & Industry (Chamber) recorded a dynamic first trimester of 2025, with a total of 54,396 contact points established with entrepreneurs and individuals aspiring to start their own businesses. These interactions, through a combination of direct consultations, training sessions, registry services, social media and e-newsletter, underscore the Chamber’s fundamental role as a central source for the entrepreneurial community – “ Kurason di Komèrsio”.
Throughout the first four months of the year, the Entrepreneurship Center at the Chamber showed more than 25,856 direct contacts via mail, telephone, social media, and in-person visits. Inquiries were primarily centered on courses and training opportunities (46%), followed by support for existing businesses and scale-ups (28%) and new business startups (20%). Other topics included referrals to stakeholders and registry services, indicating the Chamber’s broad scope of engagement.
The preferred channels of communication were electronic, with 67% of entrepreneurs reaching out via email, followed by telephone (16%) and local visits (12%). This trend highlights the increasing demand for accessible, efficient support mechanisms among Curaçao's business community.
Focus on knowledge & networking
The Chamber’s Entrepreneurship Center remained a critical source of information, accounting for 68% of all consultations. Additionally, the Chamber facilitated 40 courses, webinars, and sessions during the first trimester, attracting 2,181 participants seeking to strengthen their business knowledge and competencies.
In response to the evolving needs of entrepreneurs, the Chamber’s services also streamlined access to official documents, with 1,057 entrepreneurs utilizing the express pickup service for excerpts without waiting time, while launching the online service to purchase excerpts directly through the Chamber’s website on April 1st, 2025, as well.
Growing digital presence
The Chamber’s online platforms, including the Curaçao Chamber website, Curaçao Business Point, and Empresa Chiki, continued to serve as vital information resources, complementing direct contacts and broadening the Chamber’s reach within the entrepreneurial ecosystem with a combined visitors performance of 135,000 visits and over 240,000 views. Our monthly e-newsletter reaches over 12.000 business contacts while our combined social media following has surpassed 27,300 followers.

This solid performance recorded in the first trimester reaffirms the Chamber’s close connection with Curaçao's business sector and its ongoing commitment to fostering entrepreneurship through accessible information, targeted training and responsive services.
