Is the Pisas government hiding tax service reform?

How is it possible that the Netherlands has already published the comprehensive plan, but our own people know nothing about it?

The PIN Party noted with panic that the Curaçao government has requested the Netherlands to remove Curaçao's tax service reform plan from the TWO website, the Dutch organization responsible for the reform under the Framework Agreement that replaced COHO.

PIN asks: How can the Pisas government send a tax service reform plan to the Netherlands without informing anyone in Curaçao, especially in the same week that the IMF stated that for Curaçao to move forward, it must involve all stakeholders and put noses in the same direction? It seems that Mr. Pisas signed the Framework Agreement, shouting 'Long live Curaçao,' during a press conference in the Netherlands, but in fact, he is acting as if under COHO's command.

The strong protest against COHO is for Curaçao to discuss, decide, and propose its own solutions. This implies that before any content of the reform reaches the discussion table with the Netherlands, we should have discussed it here in Curaçao first. With this maneuver, the Pisas government has betrayed its intention to replace COHO with the Mutual Agreement, which it proudly displayed.

It is also remarkable that Minister Larmonie-Cicilia signed the letter urging the Netherlands to remove the plan from their website. It is remarkable because, as the leader of PNP, she should know that a member of her party, just like PIN has been saying for a long time, recently also insisted on involving the parliament much more in the reform process. The question is: If Ms. Larmonie-Cicilia knows this, how could she allow the plan to reach the Netherlands before discussing it extensively here first? Or is it like MFK, where PNP also believes that parliament should not be too involved in the reforms?

Emphasizing the need to put noses in the same direction and respect that we are a parliamentary democracy, the Pisas government must explain why they have been keeping their plan for tax service reform so mysterious. For the community, the PIN Party asks for answers to the following questions:

How did the Pisas government make the plan for tax service reform so secretive?

Since when has the tax service reform plan been in existence, and with whom has it been discussed?

Has a copy of the plan been sent to parliament, and if so, when? If not, when will it be discussed with parliament?

Will the government continue to send detailed plans to the Netherlands before discussing them locally?

Considering that the petition letter to TWO was signed by the Minister of Finance, Mrs. Larmonie-Cicilia, the government could have informed the community when and why Minister Charles Cooper was replaced by Minister Silvania?

The PIN Party hopes that the Pisas government will provide the community with direction by answering these questions.
