Partido Nashonal: Traitor of democracy

Whoever works with MFK is as guilty as MFK itself

For a party with a trajectory like PNP (Partido Nashonal) to sell out all its principles (order, decency, and discipline) simply to benefit from the government at the cost of our freedom, democracy, and the rule of law, is proof that it is an untrustworthy party. Moreover, it is as or more culpable than the party it aligns itself with for causing these harms to the people.

Besides all the irregularities of mismanagement and even actions that appear corrupt in the current MFK/PNP government, there is also a noted tendency towards dictatorship and oppression by government ministers. This is supported by a Parliament hijacked by an inept and dictatorial majority. The people do not choose for opposition and coalition; the people choose representatives of the people, so all 21 parliamentarians have the responsibility to defend the interests of the people.

Corruption and mismanagement are unacceptable. However, trampling on the principles of democracy (the rule of law) is far more dangerous, as it breaks the resistance of the people and the government against undesirable actions and solely favors bad behavior.

The governments of PS and MFK from 2010-2012 and 2017 were known for being autocratic, centralizing power around a single person. Significant extremes were seen when the Parliament of that time refused to call meetings and forced a majority in Parliament to hold an extraordinary meeting to bring down the government.

Despite this democratic parliamentary decision, MFK refused to hand over the governance of the country, with the Prime Minister even locking himself in Forti. It took the mobilization of the people and the use of legal force to remove them from power.

The two interim cabinets of MFK under Prime Minister Gilmar Pisas and formed by PS Minister Ruthmilda Larmonie-Cecilia attempted to cancel the called elections. Once again, it took the mobilization of the people and the intervention of the Governor to force them to organize the democratically called elections.

Their behavior continually demonstrates that they are a criminal faction oppressing the people. This is evident in the way they treat civil servants and individuals who do not share their ideologies.

Our parliamentary democracy system exists precisely to protect the people against such situations. This is what the people ask for and expect from their Parliament. This is also why no party ever gains an absolute majority to govern.

Only with the support of other party(s) can an autocratic political attitude that oppresses the people be maintained. We know that the MFK party is one without ideology, operating with a "Cosa Nostra" attitude, essentially a mafia.

When Prime Minister Pisas refers to parliamentarian Sheldry Osepa and says that there cannot be opposition within the coalition, this is a clear example of how the mafia law operates: everyone must do what the leader says. We understand and respect that some people may have made the mistake of voting for MFK, and we do not hold it against them.

However, those more conscious voted for other parties based on their ideology and principles that have now been betrayed. This is why it is inconceivable and incomprehensible for a party like PNP, with a trajectory of more than 75 years, a Christian democratic ideology, and supposed maturity, to sell out all principles at the expense of the people to be in government with a mafia group.
