This week was a challenging one for the Curaçao Chronicle team. As many of you may have noticed, our website went down, and it took about 3 days to resolve. The company hosting our website decided to update its system, and since the program we use is not compatible with this new system, our website was affected.
Amid all this, our webmaster disappeared. He decided to move to another country and went silent. We know nothing about him. So, we had to search for another webmaster urgently to make the necessary upgrades for the website to be compatible with the new server system. The issue is that the program we use is not a widely known one, and you need specific knowledge to perform the upgrade.
At some point, we thought we had lost the website completely. We worked hard, and several people were seeking a solution. Until we entered a community of experts in the field of the program we use. We managed to find an expert from Bolivia who gained our trust to fix our system. He succeeded in less than 24 hours.
Our website is back to provide the service we've always offered, and we hope to continue for a long time, especially now that we have a new webmaster.
Thank you for your patience!
