People continue to suffer from poor internet service

WILLEMSTAD – The MAN-PIN Party has reported that there have been many complaints about poor internet service. In the past, when the MFK-PNP and KEM government took office, we had already informed the Minister of Traffic, Transport, and Urban Planning about a law that the previous government had left behind, which was supposed to address these issues. This law was meant to address telecommunications companies that do not provide good service despite customers paying for it. We recall how, after our communication, the discussion was raised in the media and Parliament, which led Minister Cooper to schedule a meeting. However, even today, the issue persists.

During a meeting in the Parliament hall, Minister Cooper stated that he would adapt the aforementioned law to assign responsibility for monitoring and maintaining the law, as well as imposing possible sanctions on companies found in violation of the law. He also introduced an 0800 hotline where people can call to report poor service so that RAC can monitor the situation regarding telecommunications service.

Unfortunately, the MAN-PIN Party regrets that nothing has been done despite the Minister's reminder that the law would eventually address the issue.

MAN-PIN urges Minister Cooper to take swift action with this law and use it to correct the situation and prevent the public from continuing to pay for poor service.
