Beehives Selected to Organize Curaçao Carnival 2026 and 2027

WILLEMSTAD – Beehives has been awarded the responsibility to organize Curaçao’s Carnival celebrations in 2026 and 2027. The organization was chosen as the winning bidder following a public tender in which three parties participated.

According to the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport (OWCS), the bids were evaluated based on reliability, completeness, and execution capacity. The tender process took place on July 18 under the supervision of a ministry representative and independent witnesses to ensure transparency and fairness.

The ministry stated that its executive body, the Sector of Culture and Sport (UCS), will continue to oversee subsidy allocations and general supervision of the event.

Confidence in Successful Execution
UCS expressed confidence in Beehives’ ability to deliver a professional, safe, and high-quality Carnival, emphasizing the importance of collaboration between the organizers, the government, stakeholders, and the wider community.

Curaçao’s Carnival is one of the island’s largest cultural events, attracting thousands of participants and visitors each year. The 2026 and 2027 editions are expected to uphold this tradition while offering new opportunities to showcase the island’s culture and creativity.
