Construction of Tui Blue Curaçao begins at Groot St. Martha

WILLEMSTAD - Yesterday marked the official start of the construction of the Tui Blue Curaçao hotel at the site of the former Coral Cliff Hotel in Groot Sta. Martha. The hotel will feature 300 rooms and is expected to open in 2026. Tui Blue's management considers this a significant step in the development of their hotel on Curaçao. Construction is well underway, with the project nearing its highest point.

The hotel's location is notable for its view of Seru di Kristof and its proximity to the Santa Martha Bay. The project is being developed on a site previously occupied by a hotel, which, according to stakeholders, minimizes environmental impact and boosts the local economy in Soto and Bándabou. The development will create 400 jobs and involves an $80 million investment.

The hotel will be an all-inclusive resort with a focus on sustainability, utilizing solar energy and efficient water management. Architect Shawn Zimmerman of Studio Disena has designed the hotel with rooms spread across multiple buildings interspersed with greenery. Local products will be featured in the hotel's cuisine, and there will be cultural activities.
