Copa Airlines wants to start a budget airline in Panama

PANAMA CITY - Copa Airlines wants to start a new budget airline in Panama. The airline has applied for a flight permit for the subsidiary, which is to operate flights to the region from Panama Pacific Airport.

Panamanian Copa Airlines, which is itself located at Tocumen International Airport, already has a budget company in the form of Wingo. The airline operates flights between Bogota and Curaçao.

The newest offspring, which has the working title La Nueva Aerolinea (translated: the new airline), must start operating flights to neighboring countries such as Colombia, Brazil and Peru.
