KRALENDIJK - On Sunday, November 2, 2024, Corendon Dutch Airlines inaugurated a new scheduled flight service connecting Amsterdam and Kralendijk, Bonaire. This service, known as a triangular flight, will operate twice a week, on Wednesdays and Sundays, with stops in Curaçao.
The flights are conducted in collaboration with World2Fly, utilizing a modern, efficient, and environmentally friendly Airbus A350. Corendon aims to establish a direct route from Amsterdam to Kralendijk within the next one to two years, eliminating the need for a layover in Curaçao.
Corendon has ambitious plans to transport 18,000 passengers annually to Bonaire, offering both hotel packages and “seats only” options. "Bonaire is a fantastic destination. The flight service was established after Corendon was approached by the Bonaire Hotel & Tourism Authority. There are plenty of accommodation options available on Bonaire, but not enough seats coming from the Netherlands. Thanks to the tour operator, Corendon has been familiar with Bonaire as a vacation destination for many years, making the flights a logical step for us," stated Corendon CEO Gunay Uslu during the launch event in Bonaire.
With this new service, Corendon is set to enhance travel opportunities for those seeking to explore the beauty of Bonaire, further solidifying its status as a sought-after holiday destination in the Caribbean.
