Curaçao Tourism Board celebrates 35th anniversary

WILLEMSTAD - The Curaçao Tourism Board (CTB) celebrated its 35th anniversary on Tuesday, marking over three decades of promoting Curaçao as a premier tourist destination. This long-standing effort has led to increasing tourist numbers and international recognition, according to a press release from the CTB.

Over the years, the CTB has implemented various projects, including marketing campaigns, promotions, and awareness initiatives, all aimed at enhancing the island's tourist experience. The CTB also collects and reports tourism statistics and advises the government on tourism-related matters.

“2024 is set to be another record year for Curaçao, with the goal of welcoming a total of 670,000 stay-over tourists by year-end,” stated the CTB.

Additionally, the CTB highlighted the recent signing of a national decree focused on sustainable tourism development. This decree emphasizes accelerating actions from the Strategic Tourism Development Plan 2022-2026. “The CTB remains committed to sustainable growth and collaboration with both public and private partners,” the organization stated.
